Rice University unveiled a remarkable breakthrough in cancer treatment: Near-Infrared light!
This research focused on melanoma skin cancer. Initially, they applied a conventional medical dye to illuminate the cancer cells. Then, they directed NIR at the cells, causing the dye to vibrate so intensely that the cancer cells disintegrated entirely, without any side effects or the use of drugs.
